Day # 1 Challenge

A myth that resonates with me that I have not already shared is that:

Strong leaders don’t show vulnerability—acknowledging problems (like burnout, student struggles, or organizational stress) is a sign of weakness.

I found in research from Zhang et al., 2020 & Al-Hadi et al., 2024 that research shows that when leadership is authentic, and actually when they admit to their challenges and foster transparency they feel safe and it increases trust, resilience, and organizational performance.

I seek to be authentic, transformative, and visionary in my leadership. I am working on sharing more of my experiences, but if I am asked I do well with sharing directly. Unfortuanately, I am a direct individual and my interactions come with purpose and not just to be doing it.
